REASA is an association which can only function with the support of its membership. As such we ensure that the membership of REASA is made up of individuals that are deeply invested in the field of research ethics. Membership is therefore open to the following categories:
- Individual research ethics committee members.
- Research ethics committee office bearers.
- Research integrity officers.
- Individuals with a vested interest in research ethics governance
- All ARESA graduates irrespective of country of origin in Africa
REASA membership application procedure:
- Application for new membership is online.
- There are two options available: Individual Membership and REC membership.
- Research Ethics Committees registered as official institutional committees may register here to apply for REC membership.
- If an existing member wants to change from individual membership to REC membership, the REC needs to apply for membership.
- Existing members/RECs of REASA do not need to re-apply for membership.
- Existing members/RECs will receive an invoice to renew their annual membership.
Membership Fees:
- Individual Membership – R250.00 per person (Annually)
- REC Membership – R125.00 per person/member (Annually)
